“Your Tune” is a ballad composed and carried out by English musician Elton John with lyrics by his longtime collaborator Bernie Taupin. It initially appeared on John’s self-titled second album (1970).
The track was launched in the US in October 1970 because the B-side to “Take Me to the Pilot”.
Each obtained airplay, however “Your Tune” was most popular by disc jockeys and changed “Take Me to the Pilot” because the A-side, finally making the highest ten in a number of nations.
In 1998, “Your Tune” was inducted into the Grammy Corridor of Fame. In 2003 the track was positioned at quantity 468 on Rolling Stone’s listing of “The five hundred Biggest Songs of All Time”.
A demo model was included on John’s 1990 field set album To Be Continued. The track has been lined by plenty of artists, together with Ellie Goulding, whose model reached quantity two on the UK Singles Chart in late 2010.
