CITY OF CALAPAN, Oriental Mindoro, Philippines — A suspected drug pusher was arrested by police and brokers from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Company in Mimaropa (Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Palawan) on Saturday, Jan. 28, in a buy-bust operation in San Jose city in Occidental Mindoro province, police stated Sunday, Jan. 29.
Ramy Gelig, a 45-year-old high-value particular person on the native drug scene, was arrested at 7:35 p.m. after promoting a sachet of suspected crystal meth, or shabu, weighing about 0.3 grams and valued at P1,000 to a poseur purchaser in Barangay Pag-Asa.
Additionally confiscated from the suspect was a sachet of suspected shabu weighing 0.5 grams valued at P4,000.
The suspect, a resident of Barangay Caminawit, is underneath police custody and can face a cost for violation of the Complete Harmful Medication Act of 2002.
